The Wallflowers, presently comprised of Jakob Dylan, songwriter, lead singer and guitarist; Fred Eltringham, drummer; Stuart Mathis, lead guitar; and Greg Richling, bassist, have been bringing their special brand of roots rock and roll and lyrical honesty to listeners for 16 years.
Jokob was born in 1969 as the youngest son to Sara Lowndes and legendary rock poet Bob Dylan.
The band’s self-titled debut album was released in 1992, but it was 1996’s breakthrough Bringing Down the Horse which catapulted the band to stardom with the hits “6th Avenue Heartache,” Three Marlenas,” “The Difference,” and the two-time Grammy-award winning “One Headlight.” The album eventually sold four million copies in the U.S., ultimately winding up as the third highest-selling album of 1997.
This summer, the band launches their first tour in over two years. In June, Jakob Dylan release his first solo effort, Seeing Things, featuring the current single “Something Good This Way Comes.”
